Overview

Our Tamworth team have been engaged by valued client, Hansen Yuncken, to provide a comprehensive suite of concrete and soil testing (laboratory and field) for the Tamworth Mental Health Unit, part of the Tamworth Hospital.

As part of the $700 million Statewide Mental Health Infrastructure Program (SWMHIP), this new unit is set to offer a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment, significantly enhancing the mental health services available in the region.

The scope of the new facility include four adolescent inpatient beds, a 20-bed adult section and a five high acuity beds, and an eight-bed section for older adults.

The facility scheduled to open in 2025.

The SWMHIP, an initiative by the NSW Government, is designed to advance mental healthcare reform across the state. This program aims to address the gaps in inpatient services statewide and will provide essential facilities for patients to transition or receive community-based care. We are pleased to assist in the delivery of this important health infrastructure project and look forward to working with all project stakeholders.
